Always There

Though we may stray,
He’s still there smiling down
Like wayward children
We make mistakes
But loving hands reach out,
Always there for that embrace.
His love is perfect and it’s true
Always there for me and you
God my father and my friend
Only he can understand.

The Color of Death

Death surrounds us,
But with it brings life.
Beautiful color springs forth
As captivating fall pushes away life,
Breath stealing color turns our world into a palate of beauty.
As the fall leaves are pushed from their place high in the trees,
They dance to the ground in glorious color,
Bringing forth beauty and joy,
Nurturing the earth and bringing hope for spring to come.
Death to self brings forth new life,
Like a new believer surrendering,
Their life becoming a blazing riot of colorful hope,
The promise comes for new growth in seasons to come,
Beautiful is a life filled with Christ,
It is in the midst of this death to self that I feel full and alive.

Change A Childs Life

There is such a rise in youth violence and crime today, we need to reach those young children with the gospel before they have a chance to become involved in sinful practices such as drugs, alcohol, pornography or gangs.
There are so many children out there that seem to be forgotten. We need to reach those children while they are still young enough to listen.
Take the time out of your schedules to love a child; even if you don't have one of your own. We can turn the world upside down, one child at a time. Acts 17:6b

Everyone’s a child inside
And though we grow older in body,
Our spirits never age
A childlike faith we seek as we journey through this life,
We seek, and search for answers,
But the truth is always near,
When inside our selves a child appears,
Deep in our hearts we run and play,
Even as were working hard to pass the day,
Oh to be a carefree child,
What perfectness what bliss,
Even though our body’s age,
That child we used to be is still right there,
Deep inside just bursting at the seems,
So do not fear, things have not changed,
Your still the very same,
So enjoy the child you are inside
And know you’re only as old as your spirit feels.

Life

Life is full of disappointment,
Life is full of trials,
Life is full of discouragement,
And frustration with every mile,
Life is full of heart ache,
And life is full of fear,
And as we try and try some more,
We always seem to fail,
But when life has given you all it can,
And you have no words to speak,
Just start walking through the woods,
And sit beside the creek,
Your life has been poured out,
And you feel unusable and week,
You know you can not talk with God,
So sit and softly sing,
And when your heart brings forth,
A simple melody,
Your voice will raise and raise some more,
With praises to The King,
And when His hurting children,
Praise His Holy name,
It fills His heart with gladness,
And the blessings begin to rain.
